Several footpaths go up and down the 100 hectares land of Dunes de Dovela. A local guide is here to accompany you and help you with the discovery of the hidden treasures of their environment. They will explain some traditional uses of the plants and will guide you to taste the forest fruits or will show you our wooden platforms in the trees to watch alone the vervet monkeys.
You can also easily walk alone with maps or GPS (at your disposal)
For enthusiasts advanced or beginners, some trees, butterflies, flowers or insects lists exist at the lodge. You can also enjoy the specialised library of the lodge.
For bird watching: Thomas Bruneau, one of the two owners of the place, birds passionate and field guide trained in South Africa (FGASA, Trail guide level 1) will accompany beginners and advanced in the quest of the birds that live or pass through the area (from the dunes to the villages passing through Dongane lake or the lakes of Zavora). Also, a library is dedicated to birds. Binoculars are available at the lodge. This year around activity is subject to specials.
The walks but also the kayak (at your disposal) on the Dongane lake are privileged means for the sensible experience of this protected and virgin environment.
